Yesterday was a night full of drama and excitement, as 13 local business teams battled it out for a total of 6 awards in front of a sell-out crowd of over 300 at the Salmar Classic Theatre in charming downtown Salmon Arm.
What a honour it was for us to take home both the Green Award for being a environmentally friendly company, and placing in the top final four as a Prize Winning Finalist!
We are more determined than ever to be as eco-friendly as possible, and take mo'mugi to the top of Canada's favourite beverages. We will make Salmon Arm the mo'mugi capital of Canada!
The entire Launch-A-Preneur program was an incredible opportunity to study, refine, and launch our local business. The support and guidance from the course facilitators, the guest speakers, the other teams, and most of all our terrific, enthusiastic, and engaged mentor pushed us to challenge ourselves and be the very best company we could be.
Congratulations to every team and a huge thank you to all the judges and local residents who came out to support local!

Don't you love the buttons?
Eager crowds of visitors waited up to 20 minutes in line today at the Splatsin Community Centre in Enderby. The air was abuzz with excitement over all the seeds, amazing local products, and cute baby ducks! We were lucky our table was right next to them.
Quack quack if you're cute!
It was great to see other successful local businesses that had been a part of Shuswap Launch-a-Preneur too. What a great support network.
We handed out lots of free tasting samples and were thrilled the local crowd was so into mo'mugi. We'll be getting it stocked in a store in town soon, so stay tuned!
mo'mugi selling fast!
Yesterday was a very busy and exciting day for one half of the mo'mugi sister team in Tokyo, attending FoodEx 2019, Asia's largest food and beverage trade show!
We got to check out all the upcoming trends and innovations in the global tea industry, and made some great contacts with other organic BC and Quebec businesses there.
The show lived up to its BIG reputation. How big? We walked over
5.5 km before lunch!
It was a busy weekend at the Vernon Wellness Fair. Over 90 visitors came by our table and enjoyed their free tasting of mo'mugi, and that was just the first day! Sales were brisk, there were healthy vibes all around, and the feedback was clear: mo'mugi belongs in Vernon.
Our gift basket was popular, and congratulations to the winner! We hope you enjoy your tea (and share it with a friend!), the lovely handmade mug from Hibou Rouge Pottery in Salmon Arm, and all the other goodies.
Thanks to everyone who stopped by! It was a great, enthusiastic crowd and we enjoyed chatting with you.

The opportunity came up in a flash and we were ready! It was an honour to be a part of the local arts scene by serving free mo'mugi Friday evening at the opening of the Kids These Days exhibition. Thanks to the Salmon Arm Arts Centre for the great opportunity to introduce mo'mugi to the younger crowd. We love the chance to offer a delicious, organic, and local drink for young people that doesn't contain any caffeine, sugar or calories!

Salmon Arm, BC
On Friday, the weather wasn't pleasant outside but inside Askew's Uptown it was warm and toasty with free hot samples of mo'mugi!
Lots of shoppers stopped by and enjoyed their drink, and it was great to chat with them and answer their mo'mugi questions.
As usual, we were thrilled with our iconic stand, featuring canoes and bamboo, representing the combination of mo'mugi's two homelands, Canada and Japan.
Check our our homepage for details on the next free tasting, you don't want to miss it!

Thanks to all the friends, families, and browsing shoppers who stopped by to support, meet, greet, and sample at Launch-a-Preneur Sneak Peek 2019!
We were really happy with our stand, featuring canoes and bamboo. It was a great way to represent the combination of mo'mugi's two homelands, Canada and Japan.
Special thanks to Hideaway Liquor Store, especially Gord and Pat for being so generous with their time and equipment! Entrepreneurs need all the help we can get, and Launch-a-Preneur and Salmon Arm are definitely the best possible program and place for that. And thanks to Pamper Day Spa for the great photo!
It was inspirational to be around so many local entrepreneurs with such exciting and unique business ideas. Good luck to everyone with their Final Night Competition preparations.
